Have you ever wanted Premium but think that the real thing is too good? Worry not, this script replaces the loser normal logo with the premium one, tricking you and your friends into thinking you are richer than you really are. Currently still testing so functionality may be rough or incomplete in some places. Please be understanding. (The adblocking feature is no longer functional, and no fixes are currently planned.)
2026/02/26 Update: YouTube appears to have recently changed how its adblock detection works. Because of this, it is highly likely that this script will no longer work consistently and may even cause your account to be flagged or banned. I am unsure if userscript-based solutions are still viable for blocking YouTube ads, but I can no longer keep this script in a reliable working state.
This script's goal is to mimic the core features of the browser version YouTube Premium. Its current features include replacing the standard logo with the Premium one and an integrated ad blocker. While the script generally works well, it is still in its early testing phase and may have minor issues.
While scripts similar to this one have existed, the goal for this one is to be as low-maintenance as possible while still offering the core features of YouTube Premium. The implementation of offline downloads and background playback is not planned at this time. Feedback is always welcome.
As of v0.0.1, the ad-blocking mechanism works by detecting when an ad is served and instantly reloading the video data to skip it.
