🗂️ Map-Making Folders

This script adds a folder system and cloud synchronization to map-making.app, helping you organize your locations and keep a clean workspace.

⚠️ Important: If map-making.app ever adds a character limit to their tags in a future update, your saved folders will be lost and the script will stop working.

✨ What you can do

🗂️ Create unlimited nested folders and subfolders to categorize your locations
☁️ Sync your folder tree to the cloud securely inside a hidden native tag
🌈 Apply beautiful color gradients to all tags within a folder automatically
🖱️ Drag and drop to easily move tags or reorder your entire tree
👁️ Toggle the visibility of entire categories on the map with a single click
📦 Export and import your folder structures locally via JSON

🧩 How it works

⚙️ Install the script via Tampermonkey.
📁 Create your first folder using the "+ New folder" button at the top of the tag list.
🖱️ Organize by dragging your existing tags into your new folders.
☁️ Sync by clicking the blue "Save Folders" button in the footer.

Note: You will be asked to create one specific native tag on your map to store the sync data.
