A screenshot is not a proof as the info can be trivially forged in devtools. The original author should post the permission on some personal page e.g. on the info page of the original script.

@wOxxOm I think kakasearch(another author of this modified version) asked for the permission just in greasyfork, and maybe you can check their conversation. If he/she didn't do this in gf but in other platforms(like an email), I'll ask the original author again for permission. Thank you.
The original script didn't set license. This means "do not distribute", did you get explicit rights to reuse that code? https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/391736-elegant-alert
