Save any X (Twitter) Article or post as a self-contained, fully-offline .html archive — every image, video, and quoted tweet embedded — plus a clean .llm.md companion you can paste straight into ChatGPT or Claude.

Screenshots die. Links rot. Copy-paste loses the media and the quotes. SourceCapsule gives you a permanent copy you actually own.

One click, two files

  • A self-contained offline HTML archive. All media is embedded inside the file — it opens with the internet off, on any device, even if the original is later deleted. No broken links, no missing images.
  • A clean LLM Markdown companion — no base64, CSS, or JavaScript — ready to drop into an LLM.

What makes it different

  • Real HTML, not screenshots. Quoted tweets are rebuilt as selectable cards with their own media.
  • Honest about what it saved. A video is only called "preserved offline" when the file is genuinely embedded (with byte size + SHA-256). Anything it can't fully capture is clearly marked incomplete — never faked.
  • Private. Runs entirely in your browser. No server, no account, no telemetry — nothing leaves your machine.
  • Free & open source.

How to use

Open any X Article or post, click Export (in the post header or the floating control), and choose HTML, Markdown, or both.

Video preservation is best-effort (HLS/blocked videos fall back to a poster + link, clearly marked); long-form "note" posts are preview-only via X's public API and flagged truncated.
