Torn Revive Payment Tracker tracks whether the people you revive actually pay you back afterward (cash or Xanax), and shows a reputation badge — right on the hospital list and on profile pages — before you commit a revive. No more guessing who's worth reviving for free vs. who's worth chasing payment from.

What it does

  • Detects when you revive someone (hospital list or attack page) and records it automatically — no extra clicks.
  • Watches for an incoming payment (cash or Xanax) from that player within 24 hours.
  • Shows their updated pay-rate — e.g. "pays 85% of the time" — next to their name on the hospital list, and as a badge on their profile, before your next revive.
  • Allows you to send a prepopulated "thank you" message gently encouraging payment and suggesting the required payment.

  • Contract mode: a toggle (menu command, or a floating on-page button if your userscript manager doesn't support menus — e.g. TornPDA) for revives where you're not expecting payment, like faction war support. Flip it on and those revives are recorded for history but never touch your pay-rate stats, so free service work doesn't dilute your real numbers.

  • Pending Payment Reminders: revives still unpaid after 12 hours show up in their own box on your homepage, each with a "Send payment request" link. Click it and Torn's compose-message page opens with the recipient, subject, and a firm-but-polite reminder already filled in — no typing required. Send it and the link disappears, so the same person never gets nudged twice.

Is my API key safe?

  • Only needs Limited access (the "events" selection) — it cannot spend your money, send your items, or take any action on your behalf.
  • Your key is encrypted at rest (AWS KMS) on the backend, and only ever sent over HTTPS.
  • Reputation lookups only ever return aggregate paid/total counts for a player — never anyone's raw activity log.

Compatibility

Works in desktop Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey and in TornPDA — it auto-detects TornPDA's injected API key, and falls back to floating on-page buttons for settings/contract-mode where TornPDA has no menu-command support.

Installation

  1. Install a userscript manager if you don't have one already:
    • Desktop: Tampermonkey (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) or Greasemonkey.
    • Mobile: TornPDA has userscript support built in.
  2. Click Install this script on this page (or open https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/586027-torn-revive-payment-tracker directly) — your userscript manager will show an install prompt with the script's source.
  3. Confirm the install.
  4. Visit any Torn hospital list or a player's profile page. The first time it needs your API key, it'll either:
    • Prompt you for one (desktop) — paste a Limited access key (create one at torn.com/preferences.php#tab=api), or
    • Use TornPDA's own key automatically, if you're running it there.
  5. That's it — badges start showing up automatically, and your first authenticated action (a reputation lookup or recording a revive) starts a 30-day free trial, no payment needed to try it.

To change your key later, or toggle Contract mode: use the Tampermonkey menu (click the extension icon), or the small floating buttons in the bottom-right corner of the page on platforms without a menu (e.g. TornPDA).

Contract mode

Contract mode means you are not expecting payment for the revive (most likely because your faction have a war contract). Enable contract mode so that you don't pollute someone's reputation, as that hurts all revivers!

Paying for a subscription

Reputation lookups need an active subscription after your free trial ends. Two ways to pay — pick whichever fits:

Individual (just you)

Send Xanax to this profile with the message:

revive rep sub
  • 1 Xanax = 14 days. Send more in a single gift to buy multiple weeks at once — e.g. 2 Xanax = 28 days, 4 Xanax = 56 days.
  • Time is added to whatever you already have — paying early doesn't waste any remaining days, it just extends from your current expiry.
  • Credited automatically within about 10 minutes of the gift arriving; no need to tell anyone or wait for a reply.

Referral bonus

Tell someone else about the tool, and when they pay for their own personal subscription for the first time, you get 14 extra days added to your own — automatically, no extra step for them beyond one word in the message they were already sending.

To claim it, have them add ref <your Torn ID> to their own subscription message when they pay:

revive rep sub ref 3254720

(3254720 is just an example — swap in whoever referred you.)

  • Credited to the referrer, the moment the referred person's own gift is credited — on top of whatever their own gift already bought them, which is completely unaffected.
  • Each person can trigger a referral bonus at most once, ever — the first time you pay with a ref tag is the only one that counts, no matter how many times you send Xanax afterward or who you credit.
  • You can only be credited as a referrer if you've used the script yourself at least once (so there's an account to add the days to). Referring yourself doesn't do anything.

Faction-wide (covers your whole faction)

Send 50+ Xanax in a single gift to the same profile with the message:

revive rep faction sub
  • 50 Xanax = 14 days for your entire faction — every member, not just whoever sent it. Send more in one gift to buy multiple weeks: 100 Xanax = 28 days, 150 = 42 days, and so on (leftover under the next 50-Xanax threshold doesn't count — 90 Xanax only buys one 14-day block, not one-and-a-bit).
  • The person sending the payment needs to have used the script at least once already (opened the hospital list or a profile page, so their key has authenticated) — that's how the system knows which faction to credit. Everyone else in the faction benefits regardless of whether they've used it themselves.
  • If your faction has more than 50 people who'd use this, it's already cheaper than everyone subscribing individually, and everyone past that is covered free.

Notes

  • Cash payments aren't accepted for subscriptions — Xanax only, exact message required (case-insensitive, but the wording has to match).
  • Payment quantity is read directly from Torn's own "sent Nx Xanax" event text on each individual gift. Every correctly-messaged gift is credited on top of whatever you already have, so it's fine to pay in several smaller sends instead of one big one — just make sure each send includes the message.
  • Questions about a payment that didn't seem to register? Send your log event to LordVillage [ 3254720 ].

Recent updates to Revive Payment Tracker:

  • Subscriptions now last twice as long, same price — 1 Xanax = 14 days individually (was 7), 50 Xanax = 14 days for your whole faction (was 7). No price change, just more coverage per gift.
  • Badges now show payment speed, not just pay rate — subscribers see "avg 45m" (or hours/days) next to the pay-rate badge on profile pages, so you can tell "pays fast" from "pays, but slowly" instead of just pass/fail. On the hospital list it's a hover tooltip to keep rows compact.
  • Subscribers get faster payment resolution — a second polling pass now runs every 5 minutes for active subscribers (everyone else stays on the standard 10-minute schedule), so a payment can show up as confirmed up to 2x sooner.
  • Fixed a display bug for faction-covered reviewers — if your access comes from your faction's subscription rather than your own, the tracker used to show your own (possibly long-expired) personal trial status instead, which looked broken even though you had full access. It now correctly shows your real coverage and tags it "(faction)".
  • Update checks now run every 6 hours instead of once a day — you'll see an "Update Available" row sooner when a new version ships, which matters most on TornPDA (no extension-icon badge there like desktop Tampermonkey has).
  • Title bar icons now match Torn's native boxes — the collapse arrow and drag handle on the Revive Tracker box work exactly like Torn's own General Information box.

Torn Terms of Service (ToS)

The two rows below cover this service's two genuinely different data categories - your own revive records, and the aggregate reputation data built from everyone's records.

Data Storage Data Sharing Purpose of Use Key Storage & Sharing Key Access Level
Temporary - your revive records are kept for 30 days after they resolve (paid, expired, or exempt), then auto-deleted Nobody - your own revive history is never shown to anyone, including other reviewers Detect whether a player you revived paid you back voluntarily, so your own pay-rate contribution can be tracked Encrypted at rest using AWS KMS and never stored in plaintext, logged, or shared with anyone; auto-deleted after 30 days of inactivity Limited Access, minimum (the "events" selection)
Persistent - forever (aggregate paid/total counts per player, and per-faction subscription status) not raw activity, just running totals General public - any subscribed user can look up a player's aggregate pay-rate reputation; never your raw activity or your API key Build a shared, crowd-sourced reputation score so reviewers can judge who's worth reviving before committing (same as above) (same as above)

Other applicable Torn API rules this service follows

  • Rate limits: well under the 100 requests/minute cap - the userscript makes at most one call per user action, and the scheduled polling jobs run once every 10 minutes.
  • Efficiency: each request retrieves only the data needed for its specific purpose.
  • No advertising: this service carries no ads.
  • No password requests: only a Torn API key is ever requested, never your Torn account password.
