Floatplane YouTube Hotkeys

Replicates YouTube's hotkeys for use in the Floatplane player

Features:

  • k or MediaPlayPause: Play/Pause video
  • j: Seek backward 10 seconds
  • l: Seek forward 10 seconds
  • ,: Frame-by-frame seek backward (when paused)
  • .: Frame-by-frame seek forward (when paused)
  • 0: Seek to the beginning of the video
  • 1 to 9: Seek to specific percentages of the video
  • i: Toggle picture-in-picture mode
  • >: Increase playback speed
  • <: Decrease playback speed
  • Home: Seek to the beginning of the video
  • End: Seek to the end of the video

The script also displays a little snackbar to show the current playback speed when you change it.

Installation:

  1. Install a userscript manager such as Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey.
  2. Click the "Install this script" button.

Usage:

Once installed, the script will automatically apply YouTube-like hotkeys to the Floatplane player. Simply navigate to any video on Floatplane and use the familiar keyboard shortcuts to control your playback.
