The settings don't seem to appear with the newer layout. I've made an attempt to fix it, but it's far from perfect...
The settings get added now (version 2.4.10), but the style doesn't really look right, and it disappears when you switch to different sections of the settings.
It's best to just go to https://www.youtube.com/ui_fix_options
When I have some more time, I'll try to make it a bit better...
Thanks, so wait and see ! the good news: i am not blind. ;-) I tested the update, but i always don't see where to click: Can you post a screenshot showing where to find, normally, the settings area (icon?) or its CSS selector ?
Click the logo at the top right, click settings, and go to 'Playback and performance'. In the newer UI, you'll also have to refresh the page (F5).
i have no logo on top right...
I use Waterfow v.56.3 / greasemonkey v3.1 . I use with waterfox the addon Magic Action for YouTube v. 6.9.1.2: This older version work but its last update not , because i can't have its settings with it.
I tested on chrome / tampermonkey: No logo on top right too
You're not logged in. My settings get injected into the settings from Youtube, which they only show when you're logged in. If you try to go to the settings directly (https://www.youtube.com/account_playback
), you'll be asked to login.
So in this case your only option is the https://www.youtube.com/ui_fix_options
.
There's nothing I can do about that.
You can't inject it in an other part? Should be better if we can use your settings when not logged... I never login on Youtube. Anyway thanks for your reply ;-)
I continue to test your script:
If You can't inject it in an other part of the page, can you make it accessible in the greasemonkey menu (in the shortcut of script) as others userscripts can do? ?
Now even logged, i can't go to :
https://www.youtube.com/ui_fix_options.
PS, I follow you explanations:
Click the logo at the top right, click settings, and go to 'Playback and performance'. In the newer UI, you'll also have to refresh the page (F5).
About "my" settings problem:
Maybe you can use the way implemented by this script (an icon added on top when clicked open a similar settings page than your script):

Youtube UI Fix : where to click in Youtube to have settings of the scripts?
I don't find them... I only notice them only in your description. Am i blind ?
