Image Search

The ultimate reverse image search toolbox. Instantly extract all images from any page (including high-res originals) or paste from clipboard, then reverse search with one click on Copyseeker or Yandex.

Why You Need This

Reverse image searching is usually a multi-step friction nightmare:

  • Right-click disabled? You can't get the image URL.
  • Background image? Browser context menus won't find it.
  • Base64 / Data URL? Copyseeker won't accept it; Yandex requires you to save it as a file first.
  • Google Images? You often get the low-res encrypted thumbnail instead of the real image.

This script solves all of that. It digs out the real image sources and handles the upload process for you.

Key Features

Floating Button (Bottom-Left)

A tiny, unobtrusive button that acts as your portal.

Action Result
Single Click Opens the full-screen Image Picker gallery
Drag & Drop Drop an image file (or URL) onto the button to add it to the gallery
Double-Click Temporarily hide the button for 5 seconds (great for screenshots)

The Image Picker

A clean grid view of every image detected on the page.

  • Smart Detection: Finds <img>, <picture>, CSS background-image, SVGs, and Video posters.
  • Google Decrypter: On Google Images, it bypasses the base64 thumbnails and finds the actual high-res source URL.
  • Clipboard Support: Press Ctrl+V anywhere in the gallery to paste an image from your clipboard.

Search Actions (Per Tile)

Each image tile has icons for one-click reverse searching.

Zone Left-Click Action Middle-Click Action
Main Image Open image in new tab Open in background tab
Copyseeker Icon Search on Copyseeker.net Search silently (background)
Yandex Icon Search on Yandex Images Search silently (background)

Unique Capabilities

📸 Clipboard & Base64 Search

Most reverse search tools fail with "Base64" images (images embedded directly in code) or clipboard content.

  • Copyseeker: Only supports real URLs. If an image is Base64, the icon shows a "prohibited" sign.
  • Yandex: Fully supported. If you search a Base64/Clipboard image with Yandex, this script automatically automates the upload process for you. It opens Yandex, clicks the camera, and uploads the blob data in the background.

🖼️ Drag & Drop Hub

Found an image in another tab? Have a file on your desktop?

  1. Drag it over the floating button.
  2. The button glows blue. Drop it.
  3. It flashes green and instantly opens the gallery with your dropped image ready to search.

Usage Examples

Find the source of a meme

  1. Click the button to open the gallery.
  2. Click the Copyseeker icon on the meme.
  3. Instantly see results across Google, Bing, and Yandex.

Search using a screenshot

  1. Take a screenshot (Win+Shift+S).
  2. Click the floating button (or paste Ctrl+V if gallery is open).
  3. Your screenshot appears as the first tile.
  4. Click the Yandex icon. The script handles the file upload automatically.

Get high-res art from Google Images

  1. Browse Google Images.
  2. Click the floating button.
  3. The gallery will list the original full-resolution URLs, not the blurry thumbnails shown on the page.

Technical Details

  • Shadow DOM Isolation: The UI is completely isolated; page styles won't break the gallery, and the gallery won't break the page.
  • No Tracking: Zero analytics. All logic runs locally in your browser.
  • Permissions:
    • GM_openInTab: To open search results.
    • GM_setValue/GM_getValue: To pass data to search engines for auto-filling.

Configuration

You can customize the button's behavior by editing the CONFIG object at the top of the script:

const CONFIG = {
    button: {
        size: 24, // Button size in px
        position: {
            vertical: 'bottom', // 'top' or 'bottom'
            horizontal: 'left', // 'left' or 'right'
            offsetX: 1,
            offsetY: 1
        },
        opacity: {
            default: 0.15,           // Idle opacity
            hover: 1                 // Hover opacity
        }
    },
    timing: {
        doubleClickThreshold: 350,   // Max ms for double-click
        hideTemporarilyDuration: 5000 // How long to hide on double-click
    }
};

FAQ

Q: Why is the Copyseeker icon crossed out?

A: The image is likely a "Base64" data URL (not a real link). Copyseeker.net cannot process these. Use the Yandex icon instead; the script will auto-upload the image data for you.

Q: Can I search multiple images at once?

A: Middle-click the icons. This opens searches in background tabs, letting you queue up multiple searches rapidly.

Q: The button blocks page content.

A: Double-click it to hide it for 5 seconds.

Q: Does this work on sites like Instagram?

A: Yes. The script uses robust event tracking to handle complex sites with virtual DOMs or aggressive overlay layers.
