Try this. For me it works at least for now. MIDDLE click opens the image in a new tab after a little "hovering".
[FYI] Doesn't work, at least not on my build.
But neither do the 'classics':
Only (currently!) Google Images View Button works. But only from Google Images' preview panel, as you noted in discussion https://greasyfork.org/scripts/524631-google-images-view-button/discussions/316392.
Here's hoping you can figure out how to get your script working like the 'classics' - direct from the search results. Good luck!
