eBay Seller Blacklist

This script lets you keep a blacklist of ebay sellers. The default behaviour is to highlight the seller name in red and add "Blacklisted!" behind the name, but there is an option to hide listings from blacklisted sellers in search altogether. The script runs on search, user and item pages, and will highlight seller names on all of them.

Setup

In order for the script to work, you need to set a couple of settings in order to display seller names in search:

  1. Search for something on eBay
  2. Click the hamburger menu next to the sort box (looks like three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other)
  3. Click "List view"
  4. Click the hamburger menu again, and click "Customise" / "Customize"
  5. Enable the checkbox for "Seller information" on the lower left-hand side of the box that pops up
  6. Click "Apply changes"
  7. Success!

How to use

After installation, a small box with a skull will appear in the upper left-hand side of applicable pages (search, item, user). Click this icon to expand the settings box. Place a comma-separated list of seller names in the box, and click the checkbox if you wish to hide their items from search altogether. Finally, click "Save and reload" to save your changes and reload the page.

If only a single seller is listed, don't include a comma in the list. The blacklist should be formatted like this: seller1,seller2,seller3 - with no trailing comma at the end of the list.

Other information

The script currently runs on UK, US and AU eBay sites, but can probably be made to work on other versions of eBay with minor adjustments. Leave a comment with your local eBay site if you want it to be added, and I'll see what I can do.
