How to use: You should see a menu bar on the right side of the screen, hover over it and the menu will slide out! When out click on the buttons shown! This should upgrade your tank automatically! If you don't know what the upgrades do, press [T] twice/once.

This should not be the case! Just tested it again and it works fine. You may have others mods running that were banned in the new update!
Every time I load up Diep.io with the mod it says "disconnected' please reload the page," but when the mod is off it works fine
