F11との相違点はサイドバーも隠れること、ページを遷移すると元に戻ること、F11で効かない場面でも効く時があること、少し速い時があることなどです

全画面化時のアラート表示が邪魔な時はFirefoxならabout:configを開いて full-screen-api.warning.timeout の値を小さくする手があります
