About: Use Tumblr Raw Image

Now instead of "s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com", it needs to be changed to "a.tumblr.com"

Edit: That seems to have stopped working suddenly. Not sure what's going on over there

  • Please provide an actual web page, and the URLs.

  • I'm having this same problem on Chrome. I try to change the url manually and I get an XML error both ways, this script is also preventing images on tumblrs from appearing. I'm sure it's this script because disabling it causes them all to become unbroken which is weird because until today it worked just fine.

  • Same thing, Chrome and Firefox. Worked perfectly earlier today.

  • Same thing here, now I'm just getting blank images. I'm using Chrome to browse tumblr.

  • Vivaldi

Example oh the images not loading here: http://tinypaint.tumblr.com/post/176750983505/catisserie
    https://trashknight.tumblr.com/post/162634709097

  • The tumblr CDN servers have moved around it seems.
    Fuck tumblr.
I hope this is only temporary and they didn't seal off everything for users. >:(

  • The old URLs now give an AccessDenied response.

  • For the time being, the script has been updated to add a fallback method to the 1280px version. The script will still try to load the raw version (using the old URL), if it's accessible.

Unless someone knows the URL to the raw images, it's the only thing I could do.

  • considering a.tumblr.com gives a "Missing Key-Pair-Id query parameter or cookie value" error, perhaps this page gives related info: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/aws-security-credentials.html#KeyPairs

  • edited August 31 Firefox

They turned on Authentication for their S3 bucket, so we can't get in without the CloudFront cookies now unfortunately.

    Specifically the following:

    • CloudFront-Key-Pair-Id
    • CloudFront-Policy
    • CloudFront-Signature

Pretty much only way to get that is if someone has access to Tumblr's AWS account or steals cookies from one of their computer.
