Script use of "scuzzy" sites

There are a few reports about scripts that offer YouTube downloaders. These scripts use external sites to convert the videos. The sites sometimes have excessive ads and triggered some antiviruses on users' machines, but they seem to genuinely offer the download.

Any thoughts on what, if anything, should be done about scripts like this?

Had to blank that out, but let's go with Merriam Webster: "dirty, shabby, or foul in condition or character"

Well, since there are no opinions on this other than my own, I will not put any restrictions on this.
