Scribd Material Downloader (Safe PDF)

The Scribd Material Downloader is a lightweight userscript that allows users to view full Scribd documents, download text as a .txt file, or generate a PDF entirely in the browser—without using external servers. PDF generation uses the jsPDF library loaded from my GitHub.

Features

View Full Document – Opens the embedded version of the Scribd document for unrestricted access.
Download as TXT – Extracts the text content and saves it locally as a .txt file.
Download as PDF – Generates a PDF file directly in your browser using jsPDF from GitHub.

Installation

Install a userscript manager if you haven’t already:
- Chrome: Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey
- Firefox: Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey, or Greasemonkey
Go to this script page on GreasyFork.
Click Install this script in your userscript manager.
Confirm the installation.

Usage

Visit any Scribd document page.
Three buttons will appear:
- View Full – Opens the embedded document.
- Download (TXT) – Saves the text locally.
- Download (PDF) – Generates a PDF locally in your browser.

Notes

All downloads happen locally in your browser; no external servers are involved.
Ensure your userscript manager is enabled for the buttons to appear.
PDF generation uses jsPDF from my GitHub repository: https://github.com/Angesom12/scribd-downloader-assets.
