Scribd Material Downloader (Safe PDF)

The Scribd Material Downloader is a lightweight userscript that removes restrictions on Scribd documents. It allows you to view the full content, download the text as a .txt file, or generate a PDF entirely in the browser, without sending any data to external servers.

Features

  • View Full Document – Opens the embedded version of the document for unrestricted access.
  • Download as TXT – Extracts the text into a .txt file locally.
  • Download as PDF – Generates a PDF file locally using jsPDF.

Usage

  1. Install Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey in your browser.
  2. Install this script from GreasyFork.
  3. Visit any Scribd document page.
  4. You will see three buttons:
    • View Full – Opens the embedded version.
    • Download TXT – Saves text locally.
    • Download PDF – Generates PDF locally.

Notes

  • No external servers are used — everything happens locally in your browser.
  • Ensure your userscript manager is enabled for the buttons to appear.
  • PDF generation uses the jsPDF library.
