📢 Version Notice: Two Versions Available

We now offer two versions of Universal Link Manager Pro to give users flexibility and stability options:

🧪 Version 3.2 (Beta/Testing Branch)

Release Date: June 2025

⚠️ Note: This version is used to test new updates before they're merged into the stable release. You may encounter bugs or unexpected behavior. Your feedback helps us improve!

✨ What's New in 3.2

🎨 Category Management Panel

A brand new management panel in the Settings tab that gives you full control over your categories:

  • Color Picker — Assign custom colors to each category for better visual organization
  • Rename Categories — Click the edit button to rename any category (all associated links update automatically)
  • Delete Categories — Remove unwanted categories (links are safely moved to "Default")
  • Link Counter — See how many links are in each category at a glance

📂 Redesigned Category Filter

Replaced the old wrapping tag buttons with a clean, space-saving dropdown menu:

  • Compact Design — No more cluttered UI when you have many categories
  • "Filter by:" Label — Clear indication of the dropdown's purpose
  • Live Counts — Each option shows the number of links in parentheses
  • Instant Filtering — Select a category and links filter immediately

🔧 Under the Hood

  • Evolved Data Structure — Categories now store as objects with name and color properties
  • Automatic Migration — Existing users' categories are automatically converted to the new format
  • Color-Coded Badges — Link category badges now display in their assigned category color
  • Improved Sync — Changes in category manager instantly reflect across the entire UI

🐛 Known Considerations

  • This is a testing version — please report any bugs you encounter
  • Data format has changed; exporting from 3.2 and importing to 3.1 may cause issues
  • New features are subject to change based on feedback

🔄 How to Switch Versions

From 3.1 → 3.2 (Try Beta)

  1. Backup your data first! (Settings → Backup → Export All Data)
  2. Install version 3.2 from the version history or beta link
  3. Your data will automatically migrate to the new format

From 3.2 → 3.1 (Return to Stable)

  1. Export your links (Backup → Export Links Only)
  2. Install version 3.1
  3. Import your links back
  4. Note: Category colors will not transfer back
