Release the new version as a new script

Rule: "Even in cases not violating the copyright rule, reposts of scripts that are already on Greasy Fork are not allowed unless they are improving upon the original."

Release a new version of a script as a new script. Doing so does not violate this rule. For example, the author has updated the script to version 1.1.4, and then he uploads version 1.1.5 as a new script, and upload version 1.1.6 as another new script.

If the author does this, it is easier for the author to get users, but this matter is not good for users. Can the rules be improved?

Has someone actually done this? If so report it as "other" and include what you said. I'd like to understand if there's a good reason here.

Appears once or twice. The moderator deleted the old version of the script and kept the new version of the script. After all, deleting the new version is bad for users. The rules need to be improved so the moderators don’t feel guilty.

The another common situation is that after the script is reported, the author does not resolve the report but uploads a new version as a new script. Even if the author solves the report, he will not delete the new script. If the author updates the two scripts to the same version, the "no improved copy" rule works. If the author no longer updates the older script, the "no improved copy" rule does not work. So the situation I mentioned above appeared.
